The citadel’s winter show clock is already running
From 16 October, the royal theatre’s winter timetable puts court music at Duyet Thi Duong at 10:00 and 15:00, the guard change at Ngo Mon at 8:15, and shorter sets at Thai Hoa, Nhat Thanh Lau, and The Mieu.

The citadel has swapped to its winter clock, and the times are short enough to plan a morning around. On 13 October the Hue Traditional Art Royal Theatre posted a revised schedule for cold weather, effective 16 October. At Duyet Thi Duong, nhã nhạc court music, tuồng, and royal dance run from 10:00 to 10:35 and from 15:00 to 15:35. The changing of the guard in front of Ngo Mon starts at 8:15. Tiểu nhạc in the Thai Hoa courtyard is 8:30 to 8:45. Huế singing at Nhat Thanh Lau is 9:00 to 9:45 and 15:00 to 15:45. Đại nhạc at The Mieu is 15:30 to 15:45.
The notice is addressed to visitors and to agencies, and it gives the theatre’s address as Duyet Thi Duong inside the citadel. It does not say whether any of this is included in the entrance ticket. Check on arrival. The photograph is the main gate of the imperial palace, the Ngo Mon side of that same complex, where the 8:15 guard change is listed.
