You stand at the summit lookout, lagoon and sea in one view, mountain wind and sea wind together. Thác Đỗ Quyên and Ngũ Hồ are on the same road. The walk from biệt thự Morin to the lookout is 800 m of granite, the easiest trail on the park page. Sleep on the summit only after a registration made at least one day ahead is accepted. Sleep in thị trấn Cầu Hai if it is refused. Hue is the citadel. Lang Co is the bay in that view. Da Nang is over Hải Vân.

The park is the whole trip: the road, the viewpoint, thác Đỗ Quyên, Ngũ Hồ, and the gate market. Decision 214/CT of 15 Jul 1991 established it at 22,031 ha. Decision 01/QĐ-TTg of 2 Jan 2008 expanded it. The July 2025 park note prints 37,423.1 ha for that decision. The February 2012 note, and the 2021 feature on the park site, print 37,487 ha. VnExpress prints more than 37,400 ha. Vietnam Airlines prints nearly 37,500 ha. The 2021 feature calls this the only primary-forest belt in Vietnam running from the East Sea to the Laos border. The airline guide says the range reaches the Cambodian border. Those are not the same border. ASEAN recognition is October 2022 in the director’s speech as printed, and the certificate was handed over on 3 Dec 2025.

A day ticket has no evening in the park. Be at the visitor center before 09:00 so the park can group the walk, and be back before 17:00 the same day. Vietnam Airlines prints a 07:30 open on a table dated 1 May 2024. That is a different clock. From 1 Jan 2026 the park notice stops motor vehicles at the slip at km 12: walk about 500 m across it, then about 7 km on foot to Hải Vọng Đài. On 13 Jun 2026 the director told Báo Văn hóa the slip was still unrepaired: walk about 600 m on a path around it, then a motorbike or more walking. The May 2025 shuttle table is still on the site and still prices a ride to the summit. Confirm which rule the gate is using that morning.

Read the heights as separate sentences. The park trail pages, updated 1 Jul 2025 and 1 May 2025, say about 1,430 m. The VnExpress handbook says about 1,430 m at the viewpoint and a historical summit of 1,440 m. The 2021 feature says the highest summit above the prayer bell is 1,450 m. A 7 Mar 2025 VnExpress report says Vọng Hải Đài is higher than 1,400 m.

The usual previous stop is Hue, or Da Nang if you are already south of Hải Vân. The night, when there is one, is the summit or thị trấn Cầu Hai. VnExpress names Phú Bài for Hue at about 35 km, and Đà Nẵng airport at about 60 km. A taxi fare from Phú Bài was printed in one newspaper and is not repeated here.

Hue to the park is 40 km on the park-site feature, about 40 km in the March 2025 flower report, and 40 km on the Vietnam Airlines page. The VnExpress handbook says 45 to 55 km, depending on CT02 or National Highway 1A. Da Nang to chợ Cầu Hai is about 40 km on National Highway 1A over Hải Vân, then about 1 km, on the park-site feature. VnExpress puts Đà Nẵng airport at about 60 km and does not repeat that 40 km city figure. Vietnam Airlines says Đà Nẵng is 70 km south. Lang Co is about 30 km from the center of thị trấn Lăng Cô, on VnExpress only.

From chợ Cầu Hai the park-site feature says about 1 km, then left on Trần Đình Túc. VnExpress says some coaches stay on Highway 1A, so you change and ride more than 3 km. The 1 km and the more-than-3 km start in different places. The green round park sign on the right is the turn. The sign for Thiền viện Trúc Lâm Bạch Mã is the other road.

Whether a train sets down at the gate. The same page says the Hue–Da Nang ride is about 3 hours and prints two clocks. One block is HĐ1 Hue 7:05, Lăng Cô 8:38, Đà Nẵng 10:10; HĐ3 Hue 14:30, Lăng Cô 16:42, Đà Nẵng 18:15; HĐ2 Đà Nẵng 07:05, Lăng Cô 09:14, Hue 11:03; HĐ4 Đà Nẵng 15:20, Lăng Cô 16:50, Hue 18:15. The other block is Hue–Đà Nẵng morning 07:45–10:35, with Lăng Cô at 09:02 and a departure 09:12, and afternoon 14:25–17:40, with Lăng Cô at 16:12 and a departure 16:22. Northbound morning is Đà Nẵng 07:50, Lăng Cô 09:06, Hue 11:05. Northbound afternoon is Đà Nẵng 15:00, Lăng Cô 16:16, Hue 17:45.

The gate-to-summit road is about 16 km on the park-site feature, a walk of about 4–5 hours if you start before 09:00, or a car of 16 seats or fewer hired at the gate. The May 2025 shuttle table, tax excluded, labels the 16-seat rows: 1,200,000 VND in a day, maximum 12 Vietnamese guests or 8 foreign guests, and 1,500,000 VND overnight. The 7-seat rows print 1,000,000 VND and 1,300,000 VND, maximum 5 Vietnamese guests or 4 foreign guests, and the day and night labels did not load. The 4-seat rows print 900,000 VND and 1,200,000 VND, maximum 3 Vietnamese guests or 2 foreign guests, and those labels did not load either. Cars larger than 16 seats use the park shuttle. That table and the December 2025 notice, which stops motor vehicles at km 12, cannot both be the rule on the same morning.
