Ede longhouses on the north edge

Walk the Ede longhouses at Buon Ako Dhong, about 2 km north of the center in Tan Loi. The houses are family homes, so ask before you step inside. Make it a quiet walk between the other stops, and skip it if you only want a ticketed building.

Tan Loi

Photography

Buon Ako Dhong is in Tan Loi, about 2 km north of the center. Walk the lane of Ede longhouses. In 2019 the village still had 34 of them. Many are family homes, and a newer house often sits behind the old one, so ask before you go inside.

The walk is the houses and the garden paths, including the thatched shelters over the water. A cafe along the lane is one stop, not the whole village. Come for the longhouses, and leave the timed museums for another hour.
