City museum
A standing collection on Hòa Bình when the river day needs a roof.
The museum was established in 1976, on 2,700 m², with about 5,000 objects: history of people in Can Tho, plant and fish specimens, and rice work of Kinh, Hoa, and Khmer people, with English captions. The museum site’s footer gives Số 1 đại lộ Hòa Bình, phường Ninh Kiều. Vietnam Tourism gives no. 1 Hoa Binh Avenue, Tan An, Ninh Kieu. A department listing gives Tuesday–Thursday 08:00–11:00 and 14:00–17:00, weekends and holidays 08:00–11:00 and 18:30–21:00, free entry, and a visit of 60 minutes. The museum page and the promotion centre also give free entry, while another department line leaves the fee as đang cập nhật. Monday and Friday are not on that schedule. The description is a standing collection, not a list of current exhibitions.
Munirangsyaram stands on the same avenue, at 36 Hòa Bình. Entry is free, and the hours are 08:00–18:00 every day. It began in 1948 in bamboo and leaf, with a 1954 gate in an Angkor-style triple tower, and a main hall continued in 1964 and inaugurated in 1988. Vietnam Airlines still says phường Tân An. It is not Chùa Ông.
