Lan Ha Bay
A boat from Bến Bèo into the bay east of the island, with a kayak through Hang Luồn. The ticket is not a Ha Long cruise fare.

From 1 January 2026 a day on the bays is 120,000 đồng for an adult and 60,000 for a child from 6, with under 6 free. One night is 400,000 / 300,000, two nights 600,000 / 500,000, and three nights 650,000 / 550,000. The collector keeps 21 percent and pays 79 percent to the state budget. The 2024 resolution uses the same adult and child prices. Its paying child is from age 6 or from 1.2 m, and its free line is under 6 or under 1.2 m. It also kept 21 percent. Boat hire is separate.
April to June is calm and clear for boats, and from September the bay is quiet. Autumn light is the other season people come for. Dive spots on this bay are 4–5 m deep. Đảo Khỉ, also called Cát Dứa, is a stop on the 3–4 hour hire, about 2 km of sea from the approach, with two beaches, Cát Dứa 1 and 2. Rangers stocked it with more than 20 monkeys. Cát Dứa beach is the finest of the satellite beaches.
Hang Luồn is the kayak passage. Làng chài Cửa Vạn sits against the limestone called Vạ Giá, and more than 300 families fish there. The floating village at Cái Bèo has more than 200 households, and another count says about 300. The prehistoric site was found in 1938, dated about 7,000 to 4,500 years ago. A December 2008 dig found pottery at 2.6 m dated about 7,000–7,500 years, and the ministry ranked the site national in February 2009. A 2013 line still says that ranking is still to come. Vạn Bội and Vạn Hà are the coral beaches. Bãi tắm mới Các Bà is the newer swim in the central bay.
Cát Cò 1, 2, and 3 are the town-side swims. The fort looks down on Cát Cò 1 and 2. Tùng Thu is named with those swims. A paper-flower road runs along the coast for more than 20 km, called the finest coastal road in the north. Lan Ha itself is more than 7,000 ha, about 400 islands, and 139 small yellow beaches. UNESCO’s English synthesis for the whole property is 65,650 ha and 1,133 islands; other-language lines on the same listing say about 1,600 islands.
