Hải Tạng Pagoda

Walk to the pagoda above Đồng Chùa after you land in Bai Lang.

Hải Tạng faces Đồng Chùa. It was built in Cảnh Hưng 19 (1758), about 200 metres northeast of today’s site, and moved in Tự Đức 1 (1848). A 2002 repair, a lotus pond, and a 3.5 metre Quan Âm stand in front of the three-door gate. It is a national relic from 2006.

The same heritage list names the founders’ hall, the whale shrine, the Xóm Cấm well, the nest-trade temple, and Âm Linh. The pagoda serves the islanders and the trading ships that stopped to pray.
