Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre is at 57b Dinh Tien Hoang. Puppeteers stand waist-deep in the pool and steer lacquered wooden figures through rural scenes, a form dating from the 11th century. The theatre sets its own show times, so check its website, then fit the show between the lake walk and dinner in the lanes.
