Stilt houses of the Thai and Muong
For a night in a house on posts, with the fire on the hamlet floor.
The reserve is home to Thai and Muong people, and the houses are on stilts. Bản Đôn, in old Thành Lâm and now inside xã Pù Luông, is mostly Thai. The evening there is a campfire, rượu cần, xòe Thái, and khắp. Xòe is also held for guests on ordinary nights, not only on a festival date. Xòe Thái carries a UNESCO date of 15 Dec 2021. The night here is the hamlet circle.
Old Thành Lâm names lễ hội Căm Mương, lễ hội cơm mới, and a culture day. A 2022 culture day is the one described with the xòe. The evening is the hamlet floor.
