Phu Quoc resort living
West-coast sunset sand at Duong Dong and Bai Truong, or a quieter south at Bai Khem and Ong Doi Cape, when the island itself is the reason to fly.
Stay and tours
Phu Quoc is an island stay, not a day trip from Ho Chi Minh City. Long Beach on the west coast carries the densest resort row and the night market. The south trades that bustle for a cape, a pool villa, and a longer ride to town. The island is about 50 km long, so motorbike, taxi, and coach are how you move once you land.
Best months are November to April, also counted from lunar month 11 to lunar month 4. May to October is the rainy season, with rougher seas and short heavy showers. Phu Quoc International Airport is in Duong To. Ho Chi Minh City to the island is about 1 hour by air, and Rach Gia to Phu Quoc is about 40 minutes by air. Sailing Club Signature prints the airport at 10 km from its Bai Truong address. A transfer minute to Bai Khem or Ong Doi Cape was not printed. Check on arrival for those rides.
Choosing your coast, bay, or valley
01 Sunset sand by town
Duong Dong Beach
The west-coast evening when the market and the sand should share one short ride. La Veranda sits on Tran Hung Dao in a 1920s French-mansion style. Bai Sao, on the southeast, is a different swim: a sunrise beach about 25 minutes by road from the centre of Duong Dong.
02 West-coast villa row
Bai Truong
Private pool villas and beachfront suites along sunset-facing Long Beach, 10 km south of Phu Quoc Airport. Regent stands in the marina complex at Duong To.
03 South-end design beach
Bai Khem
The quieter south, farther from the night market. JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is the Bill Bensley stay on this sand. Town is a planned ride, not a stroll.
04 Sea-on-both-sides villas
Ong Doi Cape
Premier Village's Accor pool villas sit with water on both sides. The Hon Thom cable car leaves from Bai Dat Do, so a south-cape night is the closer bed for that outing.
