Văn Lâm embroidery
The lane is thôn Văn Lâm, in the middle of the Tam Coc–Bích Động site, beside sông Ngô Đồng. You watch the hand embroidery and you can try the stitch. Handbags, tablecloths, and decorative pictures are the goods, and a piece can take months or years. The work sits in the OCOP programme. The giỗ Tổ is the 20th of the first lunar month, and the solar date moves with the moon.
Two founding stories are told. One dates the craft to the 13th century, when Trần Thị Dung taught the stitch as Trần Thái Tông came to núi Vũ Lâm. The other dates it to the Đinh century, taught by Nguyễn Thị Sen. The combined ticket covers the boat, Thái Vi, Động Tiên, and Bích Động. The lane is a separate stop in the hamlet.
