Cloud forest on one summit road
Walk Bach Ma National Park on one ticket, from the gate up the summit road. The day can take in the viewpoint, Đỗ Quyên, and the five pools, and they are not one hour. Give it a day, or a night if you want the lookout in the morning. Adult prices are 65,000 đồng and 60,000 đồng. Skip the day if you were counting on a car past the slip at km 12.

Buy one ticket at the gate and walk the summit road. Be at the visitor center before 09:00 so the walk can be grouped with a guide, and be back before 17:00 the same day. Another clock runs 07:30–17:00. Confirm which one the gate is using. From 1 Jan 2026 motor vehicles stop at the slip at km 12. One distance across that slip is about 500 m, then about 7 km on foot to the viewpoint. Another distance around the same slip is about 600 m, then a motorbike or more walking. A shuttle list still prices a 16-seat to the summit at 1,200,000 đồng for a day and 1,500,000 đồng overnight. Confirm which rule is in force that morning.

Once you are up, the walks are separate. The viewpoint is 800 m of granite from the Morin villa, the short trail, for any age. The height is about 1,430 m, a historical summit of 1,440 m, 1,450 m above the bell, and higher than 1,400 m. Đỗ Quyên starts at km 16. The five pools start near the Kim Giao villa. The gate-to-summit road is about 16 km, about 4–5 hours on foot when you start before 09:00. Do not treat the viewpoint, the fall, and the pools as one hour.
Decision 214/CT of 15 Jul 1991 established the park at 22,031 ha. Decision 01/QĐ-TTg of 2 Jan 2008 expanded it. That expansion is 37,423.1 ha and also 37,487 ha, of which 34,380 ha in Thừa Thiên Huế and 3,107 ha in Quảng Nam. Other lines say more than 37,400 ha and nearly 37,500 ha. The visitor center is in xã Phú Lộc, thành phố Huế. The expanded park is also placed on thành phố Huế and thành phố Đà Nẵng. It is called the only primary-forest belt in Vietnam from the East Sea to the Laos border. The range is also said to reach the Cambodian border. Plant counts are about 2,147, more than 2,100, and over 2,400. Animal counts are about 1,715, nearly 1,500, and more than 1,700. March to December is the drier window for the road.
Getting there and around
Hue is 40 km from the park, and also 45–55 km depending on the expressway or Highway 1A. Da Nang is about 40 km over Hải Vân to chợ Cầu Hai and then about 1 km, about 60 km from the airport, and 70 km. These are different endpoints. Drive minutes are Check on arrival. From the market the last stretch is about 1 km, then left on Trần Đình Túc. Some coaches stay on Highway 1A, and the ride from there is more than 3 km. The green round park sign is the turn. The sign for Thiền viện Trúc Lâm Bạch Mã is the other road.
From the gate
Be at the visitor center before 09:00. The road to the summit is about 16 km, about 4–5 hours on foot. From 1 Jan 2026 the walk at km 12 is about 500 m across the slip, then about 7 km to the viewpoint. The same slip is also about 600 m around it, then a motorbike or more walking. A 16-seat shuttle is listed at 1,200,000 đồng for a day and 1,500,000 đồng overnight. Confirm which rule the gate is using. Drive minutes from Hue, Lang Co, and Da Nang are Check on arrival.
From a booked night

Check on arrival for a weekly closing day. A day visit ends at the visitor center before 17:00. A summit night needs a registration at least one day ahead.

Check on arrival which adult price the gate is using: 65,000 đồng, or 60,000 đồng. The reduced ticket is 25,000 đồng for a child, a pupil, a student, or a senior, and also 20,000 đồng on the lower list. A student card, or an identity card for a senior, is the check for the reduced ticket. The viewpoint and the waterfall use this ticket. A Vietnamese guide is 500,000 đồng a day, 30 percent more on a holiday. An English guide is 700,000 đồng on a weekday and 900,000 đồng on a holiday. These prices exclude a tax invoice.
