Riverside park, footbridge, and night market on the Hậu
Riverside park and night market on the Hậu: spend two hours on the quay and at the food stalls after dark. The dawn boats to Cái Răng leave from here, so you will pass by in the morning anyway. Come back in the evening, when the quay is lit, the footbridge glows, and the night market runs until 22:00.

The park runs along Hai Bà Trưng where the Cần Thơ river meets the Hậu, about 7,000 m² of trimmed trees and lawn. From the railing you look across to the Cần Thơ bridge and the green islets of cồn Ấu and Xóm Chài. A 7.2 m bronze statue of Hồ Chí Minh stands in the park.

Walk out on the footbridge after dark. It is about 200 m long, curves in an S over the water, and lights up around two lotus shapes. Restaurant boats with đờn ca tài tử, the southern folk music, leave the quay from 19:30 to 21:00.

The night market fills Hai Bà Trưng from 17:00 to 22:00, with stalls setting up around 16:00. Expect fruit, clothes, handicrafts, and seafood. Ong Pagoda and the old market hall are on the same street, so the quay, the temple, and dinner fit in one evening.
Getting there and around
The wharf is on Hai Bà Trưng in central Ninh Kiều, the riverside where most travelers sleep. Walk from your hotel. The dawn boat to Cái Răng leaves from here and takes about 30 minutes each way.
