Getting there and around

The prison is on Truong Quang Trong in Quyết Thắng ward, on the north bank of the Đăk Bla. It is a national historical relic from 1988. From the centre, walk or ride. The minute count is Check on arrival. From Pleiku Airport, the bus or taxi into Kon Tum takes about an hour, or 1 to 1.5 hours by car and about 1.5 hours by bus.

From Pleiku Airport (PXU)

By bus or taxi to Kon Tum. The road is nearly 45 km, or 51 km, about an hour, or 50 km in 1 to 1.5 hours by car and about 1.5 hours by bus. Then walk or ride to Truong Quang Trong.

Admission
An adult pays 20,000 VND, or 30,000 VND. Where the adult price is 20,000 VND, a child pays 10,000 VND, and children and school students are also admitted free. Where the adult price is 30,000 VND, the child price is Check on arrival. People with a disability, people in poor or near-poor households, relatives of fighters who died at the prison, and people with recognised service to the revolution are free. Seniors, students in training, recognised artisans, and visitors on 24 November pay half. If more than one reduction applies, only the largest one is used. The 20,000 VND tariff started on 18 August 2026.
