Timber cathedral on Nguyen Hue
Walk the timber cathedral on Nguyen Hue, raised in cà chít wood from 1913 to 1918. Roman arches sit under a Ba Na roof, with stained glass and carved wood inside. Sunday times do not agree, so come between services for a quiet nave. How long to allow, and the gate fee, are Check on arrival. Keep the afternoon for Kon K'Tu if the village is the point of the day.

The cathedral stands at 13 Nguyen Hue. The ward is Thống Nhất, and also Kon Tum. It was raised from 1913 to 1918 in dark cà chít timber. The arches are Roman and the roof is Ba Na. Step inside for the stained glass and the carved wood.

Come between Sunday services if you want a quiet nave. Weekday Mass is at 5:00 and 17:30, and Saturday 17:30 is also on the clock. How long to allow, the hours outside Mass, and the gate fee are Check on arrival. Kon K'Tu is a different visit, across the Kon Klor bridge, for the afternoon.
Getting there and around
The church is at 13 Nguyen Hue, in the centre of town. Walk from the centre. From Pleiku Airport, the bus or taxi into Kon Tum takes about an hour, or 1 to 1.5 hours by car and about 1.5 hours by bus.

By bus or taxi to the centre. The road is nearly 45 km, or 51 km, about an hour, or 50 km in 1 to 1.5 hours by car and about 1.5 hours by bus. Then walk.
