Climb 205 steps to the cave temple 400 m from the Dinh temple, then look over the valley. An adult ticket is 100,000 đồng, apart from the 20,000 đồng Hoa Lu temple ticket. A child under 1.3 m pays 30,000 đồng. The same ticket line names Tuyệt Tịnh Cốc.

The cave sits about 400 m from the east gate of đền Đinh Tiên Hoàng, on the same Trường Yên ground as the old capital. Most of it lies in a flooded valley. The mouth is on the cliff, up 205 stone steps, and it looks like a dragon, which is why people also say hang Rồng. The ticket name is also Tuyệt Tịnh Cốc.

Inside, the cave is both a pagoda, for the Buddha and for Nguyễn Minh Không, and a temple for Dương Vân Nga. She lived here late in life, and Nguyễn Minh Không preached here under the Lý. Walk the stair, then the court against the cliff, then look back at the water in the valley.

Walk from đền Đinh if you are already in the old capital, about 400 m from the east gate. From Ga Ninh Bình, ride to xã Trường Yên, then walk from the temples.
