The Da River dam
The half-day north of town, on the Đà at Ít Ong.
The plant is at Ít Ong, Mường La, on the Đà, inaugurated on 23 December 2012, with a capacity of 2,400 MW. It is about 40 km and about one hour north of the city, and also about 60 km. The outside view is free and the plant below the dam is closed. You may also be asked to register ahead, about 2–3 hours, free or very low.
Pá Uôn is the bridge farther along the reservoir road, after Mường La. It is 105 m from the ground to the deck with a middle span of 120 m, and also a deck 100 m above the lake, 918 m long, about 60 km northwest of the dam. The lakeside temples at Quỳnh Nhai are a different stop: a first-month incense ground, with a 32 m Quan Âm finished at the end of 2020.
