Puong Cave is the river passage you ride through by boat on the Nang. Stay seated under the ceiling. It shares the long boat with Dau Dang. The cave is about 1 km downstream from Buoc Lom. The fee and the time inside are Check on arrival.

Caves

You stay seated while the boat goes through. Stalactites hang over the water. The story told here is that the Nang was blocked, a giant cut the mountain, and the rock he threw back became Dau Dang. The cave is in xa Ba Be, Thai Nguyen, under the limestone of Lung Nham, northeast of the lake. Older lines still place it in huyen Ba Be, Bac Kan.

The cave is 300 m long, with a ceiling of 30–40 m and an average width of about 30 m. It holds 23 bat species. The animals are counted as tens of thousands and as hundreds of thousands. Both counts stay. The through-ride shares the long boat with Dau Dang. The time inside is Check on arrival.

Getting there and around

From a night at Pac Ngoi the same boat joins this cave to the lake circuit and, when the circuit is the long one, to Dau Dang. The cave start at Buoc Lom is about 1 km down the Nang. The cave is also 5 km from the old town of Cho Ra. That figure is the cave, not a walk from the market to Pac Ngoi.
