Ninh Kiều quay

Sleep here, leave before dawn, and walk the river again after dark.

The quay is given as both phường Tân An, quận Ninh Kiều and phường Ninh Kiều, along Hai Bà Trưng. It sits on the right bank of the Hậu, in phường Tân An, in a park of 7,000 m². A bronze statue of Hồ Chí Minh is 7.2 m on a 3.6 m base, over 12 tons. From the quay you look toward Cầu Cần Thơ, finished in 2010, the cable-stayed bridge with the longest main span in Southeast Asia when it was finished, and toward the green islets of Xóm Chài and cồn Ấu. Cồn Sơn is a different islet.

Chùa Ông stands on this walk at 32 Hai Bà Trưng. It was finished in 1896 on 532 m², founded by Hoa people from Quảng Châu and Triệu Khánh. The hall is deep red, with incense coils, built at the end of the 19th century. It was listed as a national historic site in 1993. Entry is free, 07:00–18:00. Quan Thánh Đế’s day is lunar 24/6. The pedestrian street runs on weekends.

Chợ cổ sits on the same walk, on Hai Bà Trưng in phường Ninh Kiều, with a first building around 1915. The night market is that street, 17:00–22:00, with stalls setting up around 16:00. The quay snacks, about 16:00–19:00, are the park stalls and may be this crowd or a different row.
