Step through the gate at 32 Hai Bà Trưng into a hall built for Quan Công by Hoa people from Quảng Châu and Triệu Khánh, in Guangdong. Work began in 1894 and finished in 1896, and most of the building materials came from China. Incense coils hang from the roof of a deep-red hall.

The hall is also called Quảng Triệu Hội Quán, after the two home districts of its founders. It was listed as a national monument in 1993. It stands on 532 m², small enough to see on a stroll along the wharf.
It is busiest on full-moon days, at Tết, and on Quan Công's day, the 24th day of the sixth lunar month. That date moves each year on the civil calendar.
