Small boats meet on the river at Nhơn Ái, loaded with fruit and greens from the gardens along the bank. Farmers sell straight onto the water. It is one of the city's two well-known floating markets, with Cái Răng.

Come early. The busiest hour is about 5:30 to 6:30. You see fewer tourist boats here than at Cái Răng, the large wholesale market closer to town.
Mỹ Khánh village lies between the two markets, so the orchards and Trúc Lâm Phương Nam monastery fit in after the boats.
Getting there and around
The market is on tỉnh lộ 923 at ấp Nhơn Lộc, xã Nhơn Ái, about 17 km from the centre. Drive out on đường 30/4 and đường 3/2, cross the Cái Răng bridge, then follow tỉnh lộ 923 for 15 km. Book the ride the night before so you arrive by 5:30.
