Lakes, falls, and pine hills

Xuan Huong is the lake in town. The cable car, Datanla, Lang Biang, and Elephant Falls are the rides out.

The lake in town

Wake to mist on Xuan Huong and walk the shore; it costs nothing. Bring a layer from November to January, when the mornings turn chilly.

South of town

A clear morning is the cable car from Robin Hill over the pines to Truc Lam, with Tuyen Lam Lake below the monastery. Datanla Falls is the other southbound stop, on Prenn Pass, with the alpine coaster and canyoning as faster ways down.

North and further out

Lang Biang is the northbound half-day: a jeep or a hike from the gate at 93A Bidoup to viewpoints over the pine ridges. Elephant Falls, about 30 km away at Nam Ban, is the longer ride, for a wide curtain of water and a rocky path to its foot.
