Da Nang Cathedral Nhà thờ Con Gà

The pink church called the rooster church

Look up at the pink Gothic church on Tran Phu, nearly 70 meters tall, with a rose window and a rooster on the spire. Locals call it Con Ga, the rooster church. Built in 1923, it takes a few minutes on a river morning, Monday to Saturday, in modest dress.

Give it the few minutes a church front takes, on a river morning. The church was built in 1923, nearly 70 meters high, under Father Louis Vallet, in a Gothic form with a rose window. Behind it is a grotto of Our Lady arranged after Lourdes. People in the city call it Con Gà, the rooster church, for the bird on the roof.
