Cửa Vạn is the floating village on route 3, about 20 km from Tuần Châu and from the Ha Long passenger port. You leave the tour boat for a bamboo boat or a kayak and move among the raft houses. The channels between the islands are the shelter the boats use.

The floating cultural centre opened on 19 May 2006, funded by Norway, as part of the Ha Long ecological museum. It showed the fishing life from before and after people moved ashore. While the building is in restoration, the village stop is the boat and the singing, which returned in March 2026.
