The temple on the island in Hoan Kiem

Cross the red The Huc bridge from the Hoan Kiem path to the small temple on the island, renovated in 1864 and dedicated to Tran Hung Dao and Van Xuong. Light incense in the court and look back at the lake. It is the one ticketed stop on the lake walk, and it stays open late at weekends.

The Huc bridge is the red bridge to the island; the name means where the morning sun rests. Nguyen Van Sieu renovated the temple in 1864, and it worships Tran Hung Dao and Van Xuong. The lake path around it is a separate, free walk.
