The bay under the pass
The swim is a long curve under Hai Van, between Hue and Da Nang, not a city beach.
The national beach page describes about 10 km of gentle shore, white sand, and clear water, beside Highway 1A under the pass. Visit Hue calls the same bay a resort beach, not a city promenade. Neither page prints a beach ticket.
Come in the morning or late afternoon if you want the ridge in the light. Visit Hue names summer for the swim. The national page gives a summer average around 25°C.
Hue is about 60 km north if the citadel is the trip. Da Nang is about 25 km through the tunnel, on the national page only, if the city beach is the trip.
