Statue in the old station garden
Stone statue in the old station garden: a few minutes on the evening walk, the pin of the river corner. It stands in vườn hoa Lạc Hồng, where đường 30 Tháng 4 meets Trưng Trắc. The Sài Gòn–Mỹ Tho rails ended here and stopped in 1958. No passenger train runs.

The statue and the garden mark the river corner, at đường 30/4 and đường Trưng Trắc. That was old phường 1. It is now inside phường Mỹ Tho. The Sài Gòn–Mỹ Tho rails ended in front of vườn hoa Lạc Hồng and this statue. Walk here late in the afternoon, with the embankment.

Nguyễn Hữu Huân is named among the later-19th-century scholars in the town museum. The museum holds that story. The statue is the pin in the garden, and the pedestal carries his name. Give it a few minutes on the walk, then stay with the river.
The electric cart starts and ends on this embankment, at số 01 Hoàng Sa, from 07:00 to 22:00. The planned Ho Chi Minh City–Cần Thơ railway leaves this garden as a memory of the old line. The garden is the stop.
