Ghenh Rang Ghềnh Ráng

Egg stones and the queen’s cove

Egg-stone cove about 3 km southeast: walk the rounded rocks free for about an hour on the south coast. The stones are sea-smoothed and egg-shaped, on the shore called bãi tắm Hoàng Hậu after Nam Phương Hoàng Hậu. Walk on to Hàn Mặc Tử’s grave on the hillside. Bãi Xếp, 13 km south, is its own fishing village.

Beaches

Follow the path along the hill and walk the egg stones, the Vọng Phu rock, the lion-shaped rock, and bãi tắm Tiên Sa. Nam Phương Hoàng Hậu used this cove, which is why the shore is called bãi tắm Hoàng Hậu. Bảo Đại chose Ghềnh Ráng as a royal retreat from 1927.
