The ordinary visit is an electrically lit passage at Ban Gun. The Tay name is tiger cave. Guides point out a golden falls, a silver falls, an upside-down lotus, and terraces. The floor is wet, so wear shoes you can soak.

Keep both lengths. The cave is more than 2,000 m, with three mouths: Nguom Ngao, Nguom Lom, and Ban Thuon. It is also 2,144 m, with 948 m open to ordinary visitors. From 2021 the Ban Thuon branch, nearly 3 km, is a rougher visit with climbing and wading.
Do this with the falls, in the morning or early afternoon. Time inside is check on arrival. The fee is check on arrival. Confirm you are buying the lit walk before you pay.
Getting there and around
Nguom Ngao is at Ban Gun, in Dam Thuy, about 4 km from Ban Gioc. Go with the falls day. The city is more than 80 km from the valley, and the minutes on that road are check on arrival.
From Ban Gioc
About 4 km on the cave road. The minutes are check on arrival. Khuoi Ky, a stone stilt-house village, sits beside this road.
From Cao Bang city
The eastern road, more than 80 km to the valley, then the short hop to the cave. Drive minutes are check on arrival.
