The park was set on 8 January 2014, on 11,960 ha, expanding the older Phia Oac forest in Nguyen Binh. The road climbs from evergreen forest into moss and elfin forest, 467.60 ha of that high forest, and the air cools as you go up.

The summit on this road is 1,935 m. The same day can include tea hills above 1,300 m, a red villa among pines, and Tran Hung Dao Forest. This day is forest and the ridge, not a second waterfall.
Give it a clear day, and give it the whole day. The gate fee, the hours, and the drive from the city are check on arrival. Storms on the mountain road are check on arrival too.
Getting there and around
Phia Oac is the western day, out of Cao Bang city toward Nguyen Binh and the park. Hire a car or a motorbike in the city. Drive minutes are check on arrival. Start early if you want the summit in daylight.
