Cái Bèo is a village of floating houses and fish-farming rafts in the sheltered water off Bến Bèo, with limestone cliffs rising behind. Between 200 and 300 households live and raise seafood on the water.

The shore is also an archaeological site, found in 1938 and dug again several times since. Pottery found here dates from about 7,000 years ago, and the site was ranked a national monument in 2009.

The standard Lan Ha boat crosses Cái Bèo bay on its way out, so you pass the village without a separate trip.
