Limestone cave on the national park route
Lit limestone cave 15 km from town: walk its 300 m passage past stalactites and rocks that ring. It sits on the national park's route ticket with Kim Giao and Ngự Lâm peaks, so make it a stop on a park morning. Skip it if you have already seen Ha Long's big caves.

The cave runs about 300 m through the hill. A lit path winds between stalactites and folded rock, and in places the chambers open wide enough to hold a large group.

Look for the row of more than ten thin, parallel rock slabs. Tap one with your hand and it rings out down the passage.
Outside, Trung Trang valley is the largest on the island, about 300 ha and 10–30 m below sea level. A natural stand of Kim Giao trees grows at the cave.
Getting there and around
Trung Trang is 15 km northwest of Cát Bà town by road. Go by motorbike or taxi, and combine it with the national park on the same day.

From 1 January 2026 the Kim Giao, Ngự Lâm, and Trung Trang route ticket is 120,000 đồng for an adult and 60,000 đồng for a child from age 6. Under 6 is free. The park entry ticket is 160,000 / 80,000. Ask at the gate which ticket covers your visit.
