Monkey Island Đảo Khỉ (Cát Dứa)

Beach island in Lan Ha Bay

Small Lan Ha island with two sandy beaches: swim and watch its monkeys on the 3–4 hour bay boat from Bến Bèo. It is the usual swim stop at the end of the loop and one of the best small beaches around Cát Bà.

Monkey Island, also called Cát Dứa, has two beaches, Cát Dứa 1 and 2, with pale sand under a forested limestone hill. The Lan Ha boat drops you here for a swim before it turns back to Bến Bèo.

Park rangers released more than 20 monkeys on the island, and they roam the sand and the rocks behind the beach. Watch them from a few steps away.

Monkey Island is reached only by boat. The standard 3–4 hour Lan Ha loop from Bến Bèo ends with a swim here.
