Tomb at the foot of Núi Sam: see Thoại Ngọc Hầu's ground on the same morning as the shrine. The 2026 festival carries his spirit tablet from here to Miếu Bà Chúa Xứ and back. He and his wife Châu Thị Tế are remembered for opening land and digging the Vĩnh Tế canal. Look for the old gate.

See the tomb of the mandarin tied to the shrine. The 2026 festival remembers Thoại Ngọc Hầu and Châu Thị Tế as the people who opened land and dug the Vĩnh Tế canal. During the festival the tablet procession uses this ground. On another morning it is a stop on the walk with the temple.
