Stand at the Mother Suốt landing, where Nguyễn Thị Suốt rowed soldiers, ammunition, and messages across the Nhật Lệ and was killed on a crossing. She was named Hero of Labor on 1 January 1967. The statue is the pin. It is not a boat you board today. A visitor note puts the statue about 1 km from the older bridge, on Quách Xuân Kỳ. The fee is check on arrival.

The ministry page calls Bến đò Mẹ Suốt a national historic site at thôn Trung Bính, Bảo Ninh, and says Nguyễn Thị Suốt, a hero of Bảo Ninh, was killed on a crossing while carrying soldiers. The biography page says she was named Hero of Labor on 1 January 1967, quotes Tố Hữu, and says the town built the stele in 1980. It places the landing at Trung Bính on the right bank and near the Đồng Hới fish market on the left bank.
