Quang Binh Gate Quảng Bình Quan

South gate of the Lũy Thầy line

Look at Quảng Bình Quan, the south gate of the Lũy Thầy line, in brick and stone. The ward page dates the rampart to 1631, the rebuild to 1825, and a repair to 1961. A visitor note says 1630. The portal says bombs nearly destroyed it in 1965 and it was restored again. It is a gate, not a Hue citadel. The fee, the hours, and the street number are check on arrival.

War history

The provincial portal calls it Cổng Hạ, the south gate of the Lũy Thầy line on the old north–south road. The ward page says Đào Duy Từ had the rampart built in 1631, the gate rebuilt in brick and stone in 1825, and repaired in 1961. A shorter visitor note says the Nguyễn lords built it from 1630. Print both years. The portal says the 1961 repair was close to the original, that bombs nearly destroyed it in 1965, and that it has been restored again. The same page records the later name Định Bắc trường thành, given in the text when Thiệu Trị passed the rampart.

See it in daylight, when the brick reads. The ward page also uses it as a pin for the evening walk. The heritage list places it in Đồng Hải. No street number in the attraction text was clearly the gate’s door. A line on the portal that looked like a house number was not used. The address is check on arrival.

A tour card prints a free label. No separate gate tariff was opened. The fee and the hours are check on arrival. Do not budget a citadel circuit. The short walls are the next stop, and they are pieces, not an imperial city.
