Tra Que Vegetable Village Làng rau Trà Quế
Herb village north of the old town
A working herb village about 2–2.5 km north of the old town, between the Đế Võng river and the lagoon, where more than 20 leaf and herb crops grow, including the greens on your cao lầu. Walk the beds, join a farmer hour, see the shrines and the stone well, and try a basil-seed drink. Go in the morning.

Trà Quế lies about 2–2.5 km north of the old-town centre, between the Đế Võng river and the Trà Quế lagoon, now inside Hoi An Tây. More than 20 leaf and herb crops grow here. The greens on a cao lầu come from these beds: húng lủi, young mustard, rau đắng, diếp cá.

You can join a farmer hour, see the Ngũ Hành and Thổ Thần shrines and a stone well, and try a basil-seed drink. The village festival, Cầu Bông, is on the 7th of the first lunar month. The Rau Trà Quế Hội An trademark dates from 2009, the traditional-craft recognition from 2016, and national intangible heritage for the growing from 4 April 2022.
Go in the morning, by bicycle, a short ride, or boat. Treat it as a working village, not a museum with a door.
