Dieu De Pagoda Chùa Diệu Đế

National pagoda on the Gia Hoi river

One of three Nguyễn national pagodas still standing in Hue, on the Hộ Thành river near Gia Hội bridge, built up in 1844 on the former garden of the future Emperor Thiệu Trị. Step through the river gate to the hall and its bronze censer. Go for a royal pagoda in the city itself, not out on the tomb road.
