Destinations
These corridors follow how trips are built. Province borders changed in 2025. The place names did not.
Central Coast
A thin coast between mountains and sea: Hue’s citadel, Hoi An’s old town, Da Nang’s beach and airport, and the caves at Phong Nha.
Highlands and South-Central Coast
Cool hills and warm beaches that now sometimes share a province. Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Mui Ne are separate trips even when the map groups them.
Mekong Delta
River towns, orchards, and floating markets south of Ho Chi Minh City, plus the island of Phu Quoc off the southwest coast.
Northern Vietnam
Hanoi is the base. From there the usual trips are Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh’s karst rivers, and the mountain towns of Sapa, Ha Giang, and Mai Chau.
Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast
Vietnam’s largest city, the usual end of a north-to-south trip, with day trips to Cu Chi and the Mekong.
