Mui Ne was in Binh Thuan, which merged into Lam Dong in 2025. It is still a beach town, not a Da Lat day trip.

Mui Ne Mũi Né

Mui Ne is a beach strip northeast of the fishing town, known for kitesurfing, red dunes, and a white sand dune. It is a resort coast, spread along one road, and a long ride from Ho Chi Minh City.

The resort strip faces a long beach with a steady wind, which is why kitesurfers stay for a week and sightseers stay for two nights. The red dunes and the white dunes are outside the hotel row and are best at dawn or late afternoon.

Common questions

Is Mui Ne close to Da Lat?
No. They are in the same new province and several hours apart by road.

Beach and dunes. Skip the dunes at noon. They are hot and the light is flat.

Getting there and around

Open-tour buses and private cars run from Ho Chi Minh City. Once there, the strip is a long road: rent a bicycle, use a taxi, or ride only if you are licensed. Walking between resorts is hotter and farther than the map suggests.
