Highlands and South-Central Coast
Cool hills and warm beaches that now sometimes share a province. Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Mui Ne are separate trips even when the map groups them.
After the 2025 provincial mergers, some inland highlands and beach towns sit inside the same province. Plan them as different climates. Da Lat is a cool hill station. Nha Trang and Mui Ne are beach towns with their own sea seasons.
Most visitors fly into Da Lat or Nha Trang, or take a sleeper from Ho Chi Minh City. Treat this corridor as a side trip from the south, not as a same-day hop between the hills and the sand.
