Grab is the default ride inside large cities. Install it on Wi-Fi, add a card or cash, and match the plate before you get in.

In town
GrabCar is the easier choice with luggage. GrabBike is faster in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City traffic and a poor idea with a suitcase or a child.
Airport taxis with a written price are fine. A street hail should use the meter. If a driver refuses, wait for the next car or open the app.
